Maral
- (Asian wapiti) is considered the largest ungulate animal in Asia
. Presence of Maral as hunted animal in Kazakhstan provides the country
with a possibility of elite hunting. Hunt for Maral is basically conducted in
two regions in proximity to Almaty, i.e. in Dzungarian Alatau and Zailiysky
Alatau ranges. In this very area record trophy has been acquired in 2001! Record
trophies is a common reality for these area.
Maral is hunted in the forested and mountainous areas at 1500-2000 meters above the sea level. Here you got an excellent chance to test your physical shape and sniper skills. Hunting for Maral is allowed from September 1 st till November 30 th, however the best time is rutting period that is the second half of September. This is the time when early in the morning or in the twilights you may witness a rare scene of a beautiful bull bugling in an attempt to challenge the competitors. Right in the moment the guide shall imitate the bull bugling appealing the males to the hunter. Shot distance usually doesn`t exceed 200-450 meters.
Base camp accommodation shall vary from a cabin to the yurts and tents. The camp powered with power generator, equipped with hot shower cabin and WC. Experienced guides and interpreters shall be at your disposal. Cooker will please you with European and local Kazakh dishes. You shall leave the base camp for 2-3 days on horses to set up a fly-camp in the nearby neck of the woods. The company shall provide a brief phrase book to ease the communication between the hunter and the guide. The latter shall set up a fly-camp and cook dinner. As soon as you shoot a trophy it shall be exposed to the preliminary treatment and packed in the camp.
Average size of a trophy: racks (cranium with horns) weigh about 11-12 kg.
Temperature drops during hunting period: September - +20 ? C down to +5 ? C, October - from +15 ? C down to-5 ? C, November and December - from +10 ? C down to -20 ? C. Preferable group of hunters- 2-3 persons. Duration of the hunting tour - 12 days total with 10 days devoted to hunting. Minivan shall deliver you to the base camp. All and any displacements in the hunting areas shall be executed with off-road 4x4 vehicles such as as "Toyota LC Prado" or "Mitsubishi Delica" and horses.

Hunting in Almaty region: 300-450 kilometers away from the city, delivery to the base camp (located in Dzhungarskiy or Zailiysky Alatau mountain ranges) takes 5-7 hours. You shall be served soft drinks and local or European dishes on the way.
Hunting in Taldykorgan region: 400-700 kilometers away from Almaty, delivery to the base camp (located in Dzhungarskiy Alatau mountain ranges) takes 7-10 hours. You shall be served soft drinks and local or European dishes on the way.

. You shall have a good chance to test your shape and shooting skills in the
rocky mountainous area. Hunting is allowed within the following time span: July
15th-November 30th. The best period for our region starts in the second half of
August and ends up in October.

Hunting Siberian roe deer in Kazakhstan

Roe deer is widely spread in
tugai bushes of southern Balkhash, Zailiysky and Jungarsky Alatau. It is a
small deer of 20-50 kg.,
with average weight of horns about 600 gr. The animal is of a great value among
the hunters. Lots of hunters from Germany
, Austria , Italy were very
pleased with the trophies. The hunting is allowed from July 15 th till November
30 th. However the best time to hunt is in August-September.
